Polytechnic GT

The Company is committed to developing sustainable inclusive businesses for the economic well-being of internal and external stakeholders by creating jobs and building career paths for them. It was with this purpose that the Company established GT Polytechnic and by doing this, the Company can sustainably maintain skilled workers as its capital.

GT Polytechnic (www.poltek-gt.ac.id) provides full scholarships to underprivileged students who have good academic grades. This polytechnic has D3 education levels in three departments, namely Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering and Industrial Engineering which have been accredited by the National Standardization Board of Higher Education (BAN-PT).

This year GT Polytechnic accepted 90 students selected from 1,616 applicants from 22 provinces throughout Indonesia. In 2021, GT Polytechnic conducted online lecture activities in accordance with government recommendations in order to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Thousands of GT Polytechnic alumni are now spread across various manufacturing and service companies that are members of the GT group of companies.

As of December 31, 2025, there were 470 active students enrolled at Gajah Tunggal Polytechnic.

Public Lecture

Every year, Gajah Tunggal Polytechnic actively organizes public lectures as part of its efforts to broaden students’ horizons through practical insights from industry professionals. In 2025, 10 public lectures were held. One of the lectures was on the topic of “Sustainable Supply Chain and Due Diligence,” featuring Mr. Pang Chong Hau, Chief Sustainability Officer at Giti Tire, as the speaker.

Extracurricular Activities at Gajah Tunggal Polytechnic

In addition to academic activities, students at Gajah Tunggal Polytechnic also actively participate in various extracurricular activities to develop their skills, interests, and talents outside of their academic fields. These activities include:

Stories from Gajah Tunggal Polytechnic Alumni

According to one alumnus of Gajah Tunggal Polytechnic, this scholarship program provides a
huge opportunity for young people from various regions in Indonesia, including remote areas,
to develop their potential through technical education, particularly in relation to the
operational processes of the tire manufacturing industry. This second-cohort alumnus from the Mechanical Engineering department is still working at the Company and currently serves as one of the leaders in the Production department.

Alumni of Gajah Tunggal Polytechnic regularly contribute as guest speakers in public lectures organized by their alma mater.
