PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk reports improved profitability in 1Q26

PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk recorded improved profitability in 1Q26 compared to 1Q25, despite lower net sales. Net sales decreased from Rp 4,404 billion in 1Q25 to Rp 4,198 billion in 1Q26, primarily due to fewer working days as a result of the Idul Fitri holiday.

While sales were lower, the Company’s profit margins improved. The Company’s gross margin increased from 19.5% in 1Q25 to 23.0% in 1Q26, as lower key raw material costs more than offset the impact of the Rupiah depreciation against the US Dollar on the Company’s input costs.

The margin expansion translated into stronger operating performance, with EBITDA increasing from Rp 624 billion (US$ 38.5 million) in 1Q25 to Rp 756 billion (US$ 45.1 million) in 1Q26.

The Company’s net profit was further supported by lower finance costs, reflecting reduced interest expenses on the Company’s debt. As a result, the Company’s net profit increased from Rp 353 billion in 1Q25 to Rp 381 billion in 1Q26.
