The biggest tire producer in South East Asia, PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk (GT Radial), introduced its new product, specifically for Offroad, Savero Komodo. The General Manager Marketing of PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk, Arijanto Notorahardjo, stated that Savero Komodo was the first of world innovation for extreme 4x4 mud traction tire.
The soft launch of Savero Komodo was held in GT Radial Savero Komodo Offroad Championship, 29-31 October 2010 in Jatiluhur. The event organizer, Moko Karsono, said this event was the first Cross Country 4x4 rally adventure ever in Indonesia.
This event became part of PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk’s commitment to support the offroad community and sport development. “Since 1996, GT Radial had been supporting automotive industry and sports,” Arijanto explained.
GT Radial Savero Komodo Offroad Championship participated by 60 offroaders, with 150 km length of arena. Divided by two classes, Pro Class XC 4x4 Rally (Group T1,T2, dan T3) and 4x4 recreation community class, the event was also participated by famous Indonesian offroaders such as H. Idoh, Donny SQ, Rio Teguh and Noor Alamsyah.
